Mission

My Mission is to serve Milwaukee County in an ethical, open and transparent manner, have the most technologically advanced Office in the State and save taxpayer dollar by cutting waste and inefficiencies.  In short, my mission is to serve Milwaukee County Better.

Prior to my appointment by Governor Tony Evers, the FBI had conducted a raid on the Office for an alleged false invoicing scheme.  This was the first time that a Constitutional County Office had been raided in Wisconsin.  In June 2020, the prior Register of Deeds pleaded guilty to mail fraud.  It is a sad day when elected officials break the law. 

I promised our County residents that I would clean up the Office, modernize its technology, make it transparent, eliminate costly waste and inefficiencies, follow County ordinances and State laws, and make the Office accountable to County residents by providing excellent customer service.

I am proud to say that I have effected tremendous change in the Office.  With my prior experience as an attorney, I applied the same ethical duties I had in private practice to the running of the Register of Deeds Office by following our County Ordinances and putting our residents first.  The Register of Deeds Office is now fiscally responsible, legally accountable, and our operations are transparent to the public.
